Editorial Policy

At SoundSig Lab, our mission is to deliver authentic, data-backed, and practical evaluations of Chi-Fi in-ear monitors (IEMs), portable dongle DACs, and desktop source gear. Navigating the rapid release cycles and hype of the modern portable audio landscape can be overwhelming. We exist to provide transparent, uncompromised guidance so audio enthusiasts and budget-conscious listeners can make informed buying decisions.

Editorial Independence & Affiliate Transparency

Our editorial team operates with strict autonomy. While SoundSig Lab earns affiliate commissions from qualifying purchases made through links on our website, these commercial arrangements never dictate our scoring, recommendations, or verdicts.

Our Testing and Review Workflow

Every piece of gear featured on SoundSig Lab undergoes rigorous hands-on evaluation by our specialized editorial team. We cross-reference subjective listening with objective technical measurement to ensure consistent standards across every category.

Review Units and Conflict of Interest

SoundSig Lab purchases the majority of reviewed items at standard retail prices. In instances where review samples are provided on temporary loan by brands or boutique audio distributors, we explicitly state this within the review. Review units are returned after testing or archived in our reference library for ongoing comparative benchmarking. We never accept gear on the condition of guaranteed positive coverage.

Silent Revisions, Updates, and Corrections

The Chi-Fi marketplace is notorious for silent tuning modifications, nozzle dampener updates, and firmware revisions. We actively monitor batch changes and community feedback. When a product receives a stealth hardware update or firmware improvement, we re-test the unit and update the original review with a dated note. If a factual or technical error is identified in our reporting, our editorial team corrects the copy promptly to maintain absolute clarity and trust.
